King
County Superior Court and the Superior Court Clerk’s Office
are pleased to announce a jointly developed pilot project to
test electronic delivery of working papers (also called
“courtesy copies”). The pilot encompasses working papers for
all types of civil and family law motions scheduled before
participating pilot judges. Commissioner calendars and
criminal cases are not included in the pilot at this time.

County Council Honors the Clerk's Office for
Prestigious Award -

a press release announcing that the King County
Council’s Law, Justice and Human Services Committee,
at its March 6 meeting, would honor the Clerk’s
Office for its nationally recognized Electronic
Court Records (ECR) program. The ECR program won the
prestigious “Innovation in American Government”
award given by the Ash Institute for Democratic
Governance and Innovation, a program of the John F.
Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
The award includes a $100,000 grant for the Clerk to
use to provide information and support to other
courts and agencies that are interested in
establishing electronic record systems.
