The Electronic Court Records (ECR) Program 2008

The official record for King County Superior Court cases initiated in 2000 and later is in electronic form. Case files archived since 1996 are also kept in electronic form. Paper, with some exceptions, is not retained.

See Electronic Court Records (ECR) in the Clerk's Office.

Use E-Filing and the Internet to submit documents for an existing case, to start a new case, and to pay associated filing fees.

Use E-Service to serve e-filed documents on other parties in a case if they have opted to be served electronically.
      • Opt in for E-Service so other parties can electonically serve e-filed documents on you.

Use ECR Online to download documents (10¢ a page) in adult criminal, general civil, and probate cases initiated since November 2004. Civil cases filed to petition for protection orders may be viewed only at the Clerk’s Office.
