Administrative assistant Candace Ferguson is the most recent addition to Councilmember Jane Hague’s staff, beginning in December 2001.

Prior to working for the County, Ferguson served as administrative assistant to the senior pastor of a large church in South King County for 17 years.  Her duties included coordinating the pastor’s schedule as well as the church’s activities calendar, oversight of support staff, correspondence, and parishioner contact.

Ferguson also worked as a legal secretary for 15 years in both the Tacoma and Seattle areas.

Jeanne Keenan

Jeanne Keenan is Councilmember Hague’s senior Legislative Assistant.  She has been with Hague since her election in 1993 and served a brief stint at the County’s Records and Elections Division in 1992-1993 working directly for Hague on Voter Outreach projects. 

Prior to entering County service, Keenan spent 18 years as Community Relations Director for the private, non-profit organization, the Washington Council on Economic Education.  There she coordinated teacher training programs, organized meetings and conferences, was solely responsible for the organization’s annual budget, wrote grant proposals for private and public sector support, and coordinated The Stock Market Game for elementary and secondary students statewide.

Keenan also spent a number of years in Oregon working in the non-profit industry and for several years before moving to Washington in 1975, served as one of the founders and the Executive Director of the Foundation for Oregon Research and Education.

Kimberly Nuber

Kimberly Nuber is Councilmember Hague’s Legislative Aide focused primarily on budget and transportation issues. She is new to the county, beginning her work for Hague in October of 2001.

Prior to entering County service, Nuber spent nearly three years as Marketing Manager for a manufacturer in south King County. There she managed all functions of the marketing department from new product development, to product pricing, trade show management, writing of the company newsletter, and design and production of advertisements, the sales catalog and the company’s first web site. She also wrote and managed the Marketing Department budget.

Prior to this, Nuber spent nearly two years working for an advertising agency, mainly coordinating projects for its largest account. Before that, she worked for two years as a market research analyst.

In her personal life, Kimberly enjoyed the privilege of being a high school youth leader for seven years.
