Gossett continues quest to
change county logo
During the this weekend’s ceremonies and festivities
honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Metropolitan King County Councilman Larry
Gossett will continue to garner support for his proposal to change the official
logo of King County from a crown to a likeness of Dr. King.
The weekend’s efforts will culminate on Monday, Jan. 17
when people participating in the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Rally march
from Garfield High School to the King County Courthouse. At the park on the
south side of the courthouse, Gossett will be presented with petitions
supporting Ordinance 99-0472 to change the logo.
In addition to Monday’s rally, Gossett’s schedule also
