WORK LOCATION: Marymoor Park in Redmond Washington.

 

WORK SCHEDULE: This position works evenings and weekends as needed.  Parks’ season typically runs from April 1st through September 30th

 

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:  Provide parking direction, crowd control and event set-up/clean-up for concerts and other events; provide general event support such as litter pickup, venue prep and restroom maintenance as well as set-up and take down of signs, chairs, tables, canopies and traffic control devices.  Work will be performed outdoors and in inclement weather. Punctuality and regular attendance are required in this position in order to provide dependable service to the public. Safely operate park maintenance vehicles such as trucks, small utility vehicles, etc. Provide for the welfare and safety of park visitors by giving assistance and information to patrons, including park rules and regulations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Ability to work with and provide customer service to the public and volunteer groups.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stand, reach, climb, stoop, squat, push, twist and repetitively lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk several miles a day and work on uneven terrain
• Demonstrated ability to maintain punctual, reliable and regular attendance.

 

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• A valid driver's license is required to operate King County vehicles; operators of King County vehicles must be 18 years or older
• A final offer of employment will be contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment physical and a background check, which includes criminal and driving histories.
• King County employees work in an alcohol and drug free environment.
• King County Parks Employees are not permitted to carry weapons on Park property.
