WORK LOCATION: Various Solid Waste Division facilities located throughout King County.

 

WORK SCHEDULE: Employees are expected to be available to work at any King County Solid Waste facility including Vashon Island.  Candidates must be available for work day, swing or graveyard shift. 

 

JOB SUMMARY: Employees in this classification assist in the operation and maintenance of Solid Waste Transfer Stations by providing a high level of customer service to transfer station users, compacting waste, loading and moving refuse trailers within a confined space in public area, monitoring the area for safety and efficiency and performing general clean-up, landscaping and station maintenance tasks.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

 

The selected candidate will be required to pass a physical examination and an offer of employment will be contingent upon verification of a valid Washington State Driver's License.

 

UNION MEMBERSHIP: Positions in this classification are represented by Teamsters, Local 174.
