CPG-Related Resources

Forming a Non-Profit: CPG Projects are typically with non-profit organizations that have 501(c)(3) status. This linked document provides more information about forming a 501(c)(3), its benefits, its responsiblities, and the overall process in the State of Washington.

Insurance: Depending on the nature of the project and the level of ongoing programming or maintenance activities, CPG projects will often require that the community partner has General Liability Insurance. This document provides information on insurance-related issues for non-profit organizations.

The NW Parks Foundation is a key partner of the Community Partnerships and Grants Program. In addition to managing the Parks Safety Net, the NW Parks Foundation directly develops CPG projects on behalf of it's constituency, user groups, and the general public. The NW Parks Foundation can provide your organization with technical assistance and other resources that are valuable to the CPG proposal and implementation process.
