The Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center is a legacy venue of the 1990 Seattle Goodwill Games. The facility maintains one of the most active competition schedules in the country hosting more than 50 events annually.

YSFG Endowment

King County Parks is excited to announce the Youth Sports Facilities Grant Endowment. Proceeds from the sale of the Johnson Building helped establish a permanent endowment of $2.7 million dollars. Approximately $100,000 in interest will be programmed annually, allowing for about three new grant projects each year beginning in 2008. This means roughly 18 new or improved youth sports facilities projects will be funded each year in King County.

KCAC bids to host Olympic Dive Team

With a world-class aquatics center that has already hosted numerous national and international competitions, and a strong community partnership supporting the effort, King County is making a bid to host the 2008 Olympic Dive Team Trials at the King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way.

The Parks & Trails Ambassador program is perfect for adults who enjoy being outdoors. King County’s team of trained Ambassadors will provide parks and trails visitors with friendly and informative parks representatives to answer questions and to ensure parks facilities are in good shape.
