Gift Planning:

Memorial gifts and bequests pay tribute to philanthropic families and loved ones. Your gift may specify a dollar amount, a percentage of an estate, assets such as stocks, bonds and real estate, or tangible personal property such as art or antiques. In lieu of sending flowers, families may request donations be made to King County Parks through our 501(c)3 non-profit partner, Northwest Parks Foundation.

The Northwest Parks Foundation provides planned giving options to meet your overall financial, tax and estate planning objectives.

Donations are fully tax-deductible, although potential donors should consult their financial adviser or tax preparer.

Bequests

Individuals or couples who have included King County Parks in their wills are encouraged to inform us, so that we may acknowledge and honor their generosity in their lifetimes. Your gift may specify a dollar amount, a percentage of an estate, assets such as stocks, bonds and real estate, or tangible personal property such as art or antiques. Sample bequest language is available through us for donors and their advisors to ensure a bequest is properly designated.

Life Insurance

Donors can contribute a life insurance policy to King County Parks in several ways, such as assigning a paid-up policy to King County Parks as owner or naming us as primary or successor beneficiary. You may also donate a policy on which premiums remain to be paid then make annual gifts to cover the premium due. Please contact Pearson Cummings for more information.

If you are eligible, please send in your employer’s matching gift form with your tax-deductible donation to our private 501(c)3 non-profit partner Northwest Parks Foundation.
