King County lifeguards and swim instructors have Red Cross and Northwest Lifeguard Prep Course certifications. If you want to become a lifeguard, contact the Aquatics office, 206-296-7643, or a pool manager for specific training requirements and an application. Go to Advanced Training to learn more about becoming a lifeguard or swim instructor and see the current class schedule.
