Lifeguard Training (LGT) at King County Pools
|
|
|
The purpose of American Red Cross (ARC) Lifeguard Training course is to teach Lifeguard candidates the skills and knowledge needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. The course content and activities prepare candidates to recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and prevent drownings and injuries.
King County pools offer the Northwest Lifeguard Preparation Course (NW Prep or Prep) along with ARC Lifeguard Training. This course prepares prospective lifeguard candidates for employment with King County Parks Aquatics. |

Water Safety Instructor Training (WSI) at King County Pools
|
|
|
The purpose of the ARC Water Safety Instructor (WSI) course is to train instructor candidates to teach American Red Cross swimming and water safety courses. Basic prerequisites for WSI are:
