Green-to-Cedar Rivers TrailThis 3.3 mile regional trail links the City of Maple Valley with the Cedar River Trail and metro areas to the northwest. The trail follows an abandoned railroad route and was formerly known as the Lake Wilderness Trail because of its close proximity to the lake and surrounding Lake Wilderness Park. The trail provides access to the park as well as surrounding neighborhoods. Parking is available at Lake Wilderness Park as well as on streets along the trail’s route. The Green-to-Cedar Rivers Trail currently ends at Kent-Kangley Road (SR 516) in Maple Valley. Eventually the trail will be developed south through Maple Valley and beyond to Lake Sawyer, the City of Black Diamond, and the Green River Valley to link with the future Green River Trail. While the facility is presently soft-surface, future plans include paving with a soft-surface shoulder for multiple uses. |
