Adopt A Park or trail
and help improve King County’s parks and regional trails
The Adopt-a-Park program provides opportunities for groups to help and maintain King County's 200 parks and 200 miles of regional trails. You or your group can adopt a park or a portion of a trail by volunteering there at least four times over a 12 month period.

Natural Resources – Restoration, Trail Work, Pot a Tree

Help improve and maintain our parks and natural lands through clean-up efforts and restoration projects. During the year we are looking for individuals and groups that want to volunteer. We are looking for help to plant native trees and shrubs, pot up native trees, do trail work, weed and mulch our restoration projects or to remove invasive weeds? Contact the Natural Lands Volunteer Coordinator at 206-296-2990 or tina.miller@metrokc.gov to find a project for you or your group!

For a schedule, please visit Volunteer Events 2005

Your volunteer efforts in our parks and natural areas and on our trails increases public awareness of the importance of protecting our natural resources; generates pride in our parks; and demonstrates a commitment to your community.

Restoration Projects – Spring 2005

Come help out by planting native trees and shrubs or weeding restoration projects along rivers throughout King County. We have projects along the Cedar, Green, Sammamish, and Snoqualmie Rivers. These projects are helping to restore the streamside habitat for fish and wildlife. Check out the link for specific projects and dates.
