Who should I contact with questions about electrical systems or power poles?

DDES does not administer electrical permits. For design, installation or modification to electrical wiring in unincorporated King County, contact the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries (L&I) as follows:

• L&I Bellevue Office at 425-990-1400 for unincorporated areas of north, northwest and northeast King County
• L&I Tukwila Office at 206-835-1111 for unincorporated areas of south, southwest and southeast King County.

Elevator permits also are administered by Washington State L&I rather than DDES. For elevator permits for the entire area of unincorporated King County, contact L&I at 1-800-705-1411 or 360-902-6130.
