Work Schedule
35 hour work week; Monday - Friday
Primary Job Functions
Job functions may vary depending on position assigned. Answer telephones, screen calls, respond to inquiries. Open, date, stamp, sort and distribute incoming mail and process outgoing mail. Type and/or word process basic documents. Inventory, order, collect and distribute supplies and/or equipment. Photocopy various legal documents and ensure proper distribution of documents. Establish and maintain files, records and other informational sources on a daily basis. Process forms, records or documents. Prepare court calendars and case files.
Qualifications
Knowledge of general office principals and practices; legal office experience or training is helpful. Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment, such as multi-line telephone, fax, computer and photocopier. Skill in filing alphabetically, numerically and chronologically. Skill in working independently and as a member of a team. Skill to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Necessary Special Requirements
- Must pass criminal history check
- Some positions require lifting or moving of boxes weighing up to 25 pounds
- Valid Washington State Driver's License (some positions)
- Notary Public (some positions)
