Work Location: 516 - 3rd Ave., King County Courthouse, Downtown Seattle.

Work Schedule: 35 hour work week; Monday-Friday

Primary Job Duties Include: This position provides legal secretarial support for a group of civil deputies and other staff. The work is detail oriented and includes: the preparation of correspondence and legal documents from rough draft through final copy; filing, receiving callers in person and by phone; scheduling motions, depositions and meetings; and arranging for service of documents. The work is confidential in nature which requires the exercise of independent judgment and discretion.

Qualifications: Candidates for this position must possess: excellent computer skills, including the ability to type a minimum of 55 wpm using Microsoft Word; excellent spelling, grammar & organization skills; the ability to prioritize tasks; and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, clients and other agencies. Civil litigation training or experience is preferred.

Necessary Special Requirements: Pass Criminal History Check. Occasional lifting, carrying and moving boxes weighing up to 20-25 lbs.
