Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Domestic Violence Advocate: If you are interested in a volunteer Domestic Violence Advocacy position, please see the information about our Training Program and our Frequently Asked Questions page.

Volunteer Administrative Assistant: This office has limited volunteer opportunities for administrative assistants due to space restrictions.

We require a minimum commitment of seven hours per week for a six month period from our volunteers. Our office is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Volunteers must be available to volunteer during these business hours.

Administrative assistant volunteers in our office provide clerical support such as filing and photocopying for our support staff. Volunteers do not work directly with the deputy prosecuting attorneys. Volunteering at our office will not increase your chance of getting a paid position with the Prosecuting Attorney's Office. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide bus passes, parking, or mileage reimbursement for volunteers.

If you are interested in a volunteer administrative assistant position with our office, mail or e-mail a resume, cover letter and volunteer application* (PDF) to:

Becky Gifford
Human Resources Manager
W554 King County Courthouse
516 Third Avenue
Seattle, WA 98104

Outline the area(s) of the office you would be interested in working in, the days of the week/hours you would be able to volunteer, and when you would be available to begin volunteering. To help you familiarize yourself with our office, please see Office Overview.
