Performance Recycled asphalt is applied cold and compacted; ambient summer heat softens liquid asphalt in the aggregate and compaction hardens the surface.

Quantity Approximately 2500 tons for the road and approximately 500 tons for recycle building area
Cost $5.00 ton at plant versus $27.50 for hot mix
Cost savings or increase Less expensive than conventional hot mix and gravel; life- cycle is approximately three years for top inch of surface, and three-five years for three-inch base course
Installation, costs/savings Installation is the same as hot mix asphalt concrete
Source of extra funds No extra funds needed, costs less
Would you buy this product again? Yes.
Why or why not? Better than a gravel road, less expensive than a hot mix application
Comments After two years, the top of the road surface shows signs of ravelling and pot holes.
This same material was also used for a sub surface layer in the recycle building apron, driveway and parking lot.
