Technical Services
Contracts for Technical Consultant services originate with service requests from King County departments and agencies. Listed below are a few examples of representative County departments and the types of consultant projects they perform.
NOTE: Consultants interested in submitting qualifications and/or proposals to King County must direct questions regarding Request for Proposals (RFP's) and Request for Quotations (RFQ's) to the assigned Contract Specialist or Buyer. The assigned Specialist's or Buyer's name and phone number will be listed along with the RFP/Q.
The Solicitations menu tab provides information and hyperlinked documents regarding current solicitations, addenda, proposer lists and other relevant information. Details about selection processes, timelines, qualifications, etc,. differ for each project and can be found within each RFP/Q. Solicitations (Construction/Open) lists consultant projects currently advertised and available for proposal or submital. To determine status of RFP/Q after the due date, access either Solicitations (Construction/Closed) or Solicitations (Construction/Awarded) depending on the evaluation/award process stage.
DNRP - Dept. of Natural Resources and Parks
(Solid Waste, Wastewater Treatment and Water & Land) Project types may include the creation of marketing programs for local agricultural or recycling events; waste monitoring services; health and safety training; conservation studies, archeological research services, as well as other services.
FMD - Facilities Management Division

DOT - Dept. of Transportation
(Roads & Transit) Project types may include transportation and bus rider surveys; appraisals regarding right of way properties; review of parking management strategies, as well as other services.
