Professional Construction Services
The Professional & Construction Services (PCS) group is part of the King County Procurement and Contract Services Section (PCSS).
PCS manages construction, architectural & engineering (A&E), and professional services procurements for all King County agencies, including Wastewater Treatment, Transit, Solid Waste, Facilities Management, and Roads. Contracts vary greatly in size and complexity, with values as low as $10K to over $100M dollars. PCS also maintains the county’s Small Works Roster and A&E Roster.
The PCS staff assigned to manage these procurements are called Contract Specialists (Specialists), and they generally specialize in either Construction procurements, or A&E/Professional Services procurements.
The Specialist manages all aspects of PCS procurements from planning and solicitation through contract execution. During this procurement phase of a county project, the Specialist is the contact point for all contractors and consultants interested in the solicitation.
