If you or your eligible dependents lose county-paid health care coverage due to certain qualifying life events, each of you has an independent right to continue medical, dental and vision coverage through COBRA. This coverage, which is paid entirely by you, may continue for 18 to 36 months after county-paid coverage ends, which is the last day of the month in which the qualifying life event occurs.
