The King County Sheriff's Office Civil Unit carries out statutory responsibilities to the County Superior Court.

These responsibilities include:
• Serving civil and criminal subpoenas and summonses on victims, witnesses and defendants;
• Serving other civil and criminal court papers;
• Processing civil bench warrants; and
• Attaching, maintaining custody of, and selling personal property.
