Shaping Tomorrow "Where we're going..."

Year 2000:  Four-year Comprehensive Plan cycle process begins
The year 2000 marked the first significant revision of the King County Comprehensive Plan since its 1994 adoption, in accordance with K.C.C. Title 20. Known as the Four-Year Cycle, this comprehensive review provides for a cumulative analysis of the Comprehensive Plan.

In this review, broader policy issues can be addressed than those which occur through yearly updates. Site-specific land use changes, which are considered either annually or every fourth year, depending on the extent of change proposed, will be addressed as well.

If you are wondering how you can propose a change to the Comprehensive Plan, please visit the Comprehensive Plan web site, where you will find helpful, detailed information regarding the amendment process.

I urge you to get involved and make a difference. King County belongs to all of us, and we must all work together to manage its growth. I look forward to "Shaping Tomorrow" with you.
